2001 Arabic Language 3 The Arabic language course is considered a fundamental requirement for the college of applied professions. The course aims to prepare students to communicate fluently in Arabic in their daily lives and academic work by providing them with basic practical knowledge and skills in Arabic language and its arts that are in line with their needs and knowledge. This will enable them to use it correctly in reading, writing, and speaking, reflecting positively on their performance and increasing their self-confidence and the confidence of others in them. The course includes lessons in grammar, morphology, and basic linguistic rules, as well as listening, speaking, reading, and writing exercises. Additionally, it also includes the study of common vocabulary and phrases in the Arabic language.
2002 English Language 3 It aims to develop the students' four basic skills: writing, reading, comprehension, correct pronunciation, and conversation. As well as the development of basic language rules, which include: verbs, direct speech, prepositions, and the conditional sentence. 2017 Physical Education 1 The physical activity course is designed to promote health and fitness and improve students' athletic skills. It includes various concepts and physical activities, including team sports such as soccer and basketball, and individual sports such as running, swimming, weightlifting, and yoga. In addition, the course emphasizes teamwork, collaboration, and challenge. It also focuses on committing to sports ethics and social responsibility, and learning about some of the injuries that can occur on and off the field, their causes, symptoms, and first aid methods. This course is useful for improving physical and mental health, balance, coordination, and self-confidence. 3219 Entrepreneurship 3 " Entrepreneurship course is an educational course aimed at developing students' skills in managing and operating small and medium-sized enterprises، and teaching them how to develop their ideas and turn them into successful projects. During the course, students are taught many basic concepts and skills in the field of entrepreneurship, such as market research, development of administrative and marketing plans, management of human and financial resources, creation of business plans, innovation, and digital transformation. The course is taught practically, relying on practical activities and applied projects that allow students the opportunity to apply the concepts they have learned in their own projects. 2209 Free Hand Sketching 2 The course aims to simulate and replicate visual reality by training the eye on distances and proportions, and teaching the student the skills of analysis and pencil drawing. It also aims to develop the student's ability to recognize and imagine, cultivate their good taste, develop their ability to perceive proportions, express their ideas and imagination, understand perspective ratios, and use pencils, colored pencils, and charcoal. The course also covers shading with the presence of a light source, and trains the student to use different tools to render shapes and gradients in shading.
2253 Aesthetics 3 The course aims to introduce the student to the artistic foundations of the artwork and how to deal with them, by studying the relationship between aesthetics and art throughout the ages, the most important theories of aesthetics, criticism, social, scientific, and educational motives and goals that led to the emergence of aesthetics, and studying the unique features of the artwork and its relationship to human activities, meanings, rules, and values of aesthetics, and the Islamic religion and its evaluation of art throughout different Islamic schools and ages.
2275 Principles of Interior Design 3 The course aims to introduce the student to the fundamentals of design and develop their ability to use various materials in design, recognize design elements, enhance their sense of color, provide them with some different skills and techniques in using various tools and materials in design work, develop the student's creative ability for design and implementation, in addition to providing them with the skill to employ color in design work.
2588 A brief history of Art 3 The aim of this course is to provide students with comprehensive technical knowledge and concepts about the origin and stages of art development, from ancient times to the modern era, as well as the study of drawing, sculpture, decoration, architecture, and handicrafts. It also aims to familiarize students with the importance of art in human life and to understand the reasons that led to its emergence. Moreover, it provides students with a cultural background about past and present arts that enables them to critique and analyze old and modern artworks, differentiate between beauty and ugliness, and learn about the technical experiences and skills that artists possessed throughout different historical periods. Additionally, they become acquainted with aesthetic concepts and philosophies that successive ancient civilizations adopted in artistic expression. Professions 1 This course aims to introduce the student to the concept of engineering and applied arts, and the reciprocal relationship between them and their nature as professions, as well as the evolution of these professions throughout history. The course also discusses the relationship between auxiliary engineering professions, applied professions, technology, and society, and the role and impact of those who work in these professions within their communities. Additionally, the student will learn about the different traditional and modern branches of engineering and applied professions, professional ethics, and what can be added to engineering and technology education plans to develop them.

By the end of this course, students will be able to compare and choose between different types of cameras available in the market and prepare optimal conditions for producing good photographic images within environments and backgrounds that are appropriate for the subject matter. Students will also learn about the different elements that affect the lighting of an image and how to operate these elements to achieve optimal exposure, such as shutter speed, aperture in the camera lens, light sensitivity (ISO), controlling the shooting position, and low-light photography techniques, i.e., controlling color balance in nighttime images.
3231 2 The course aims to enhance students' understanding of the fundamental principles of the work environment in design by introducing human anatomy, anthropometry, and modeling techniques to improve safety, productivity, and people's comfort and health. It also covers the challenges posed on efficiency, productivity, comfort, and designing mathematical information, tasks, muscular and anthropometric measurements, workspace design, soft tissue and activity members, back injuries, shifts, skilled labor, mental activity, and regulations in the work environment.

The course content includes the following: an introduction and basic concepts of quality, fundamentals of statistics and their applications in quality control, control charts and their uses in quality control, inspection and testing plans, process capability, the concept of quality control costs, total quality control, and reliability.

3234 2 This course provides a general overview and introduction to the methods and processes used in the field of industrial design and in product development. The focus is on the design process in developing physical products, and on conceptualizing and conveying design ideas creatively and efficiently. The course also introduces the perspective of environmental and sustainable design in the design process. By the end of the course, students are expected to present a complete portfolio of a specific product for the purpose of showcasing and marketing it.
3235 2 This course aims to link technical knowledge with practical application, and to introduce students to hand and power tools in carpentry and hand tools in upholstery, and how to use them effectively and correctly. Students will also learn about the materials used in carpentry and upholstery, and understand the principles and techniques of carpentry to become capable of executing some basic skills as a foundation, and preparing them to face more difficult exercises. Additionally, students will learn about the fundamentals of occupational safety to protect themselves and others from hazards, and how to maintain various tools and materials to prevent damage. 3237 2 In this course, students will explore how to work with epoxy resins, as well as how to pour solid objects and encapsulate objects in clear resin. The course will cover different types of mold-making, including one-piece block molds and two-part molds. Students will also learn about traditional and contemporary crafts and produce functional and decorative art objects. They will explore tools and techniques used by many cultures, especially local and regional artisans.
3238 3 The course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge in practical applications of environmental standards, classification of ecological systems components, available environmental opportunities, and the relationship between natural resources and development. Additionally, it aims to teach students how to evaluate the environmental impact of products and its relationship with sustainable development, taking into consideration the increasing need for sustainable factors and their effects on engineering practices, especially in the industrial environment. The course will focus on presenting two specific methodologies: life cycle assessment and circular economy and recycling. The life cycle assessment methodology is a strict quantitative approach for evaluating the environmental impact, which evaluates the product's effects throughout its life cycle. It has been successfully used in several industries such as packaging, manufacturing, and others.

3241 2 The course includes enabling the student to work with specialized computer-aided design programs, and the student acquires the skill of 2D design after completing the course. They will experience and see how ideas move from paper and print (work documents and specifications) to product manufacturing. Students will become estimators, lead interactive discussions, play roles, and become fully immersed in a cost estimation environment. Students will learn specific aspects of estimation, including quantity surveying, labor and material costs, and final pricing. Students will have the opportunity to work in cost estimating teams and develop original and specialized proposals to apply their newly acquired skills.
3245 Industrial Arts 3 This course provides students with the technical fundamentals of problem solving in manufacturing fields. It includes hands-on activities and practical experiences in using hand tools, materials, basic power and test equipment. Students will be introduced to basic skills in engineering, drafting, and formulation, and will be able to apply design, construction, and participation in student activities to participate in a constantly changing technological community. The course also includes the fundamentals of carpentry and material processing. Students will learn how to operate most basic hand tools as well as some woodworking shop tools.
